Privacy Policy | HG Intel

HG Intel is a product of Holistic Governance Pty Ltd (ACN 698 725 558, ABN 52 698 725 558), trading as Holistic Governance ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal information through this website (hg-intel.com.au) and the HG Intel service. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information we collect

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our web host records standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, for security and abuse prevention.

2. Google user data

If HG Intel lets you sign in with your Google account, we receive only the basic profile information Google shares with your consent: your name, email address, Google account identifier and, where available, your profile image. We use this information only to:

authenticate you and keep your account secure
create and maintain your HG Intel account and display your name in the service
contact you about your account and the service

We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google data, and we do not sell, rent or share Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising or to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Google user data is not read by people except where you ask us to (for example, for support), where it is needed for security, or where the law requires it.

HG Intel's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can remove HG Intel's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and ask us to delete your account (see section 7).

3. How we use your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

4. How we store and protect your information

5. Service providers and overseas disclosure

We use the service providers below. The application and database are in Australia, but some supporting services are operated by providers who may process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We do not claim that no data leaves Australia, because that would not be true. We will keep this list current.

We do not use your content to train AI models. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy.

6. Retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active, and delete it within 90 days after the account is closed unless we must keep it longer by law. We keep interest registrations until you ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you but keep a record so you are not added again by mistake; ask us and we will delete that record too. We keep enquiry emails for up to 12 months after we last correspond with you. Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing info@hg-intel.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

8. Data breaches

If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will contain it, assess it promptly, and notify affected individuals and the OAIC as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we will tell account holders before it takes effect.
